Woman with Snake
Heres the charcoal "cartoon" for a new painting I've been working on.
I am painting it now and some areas of it have changed a little, but in general this is the composition.

Dave, I love the paintings I'm a big fan of pulp art and your paintings do a nice job of capturing the feel. I love the process shots you post (I have Gurneys book it is great) I was wondering if you would post more of your reference photos I find it really fascinating and inspirational. thanks B
Hi Brian, I'm glad you have Gurney's book! Thanks for the interest in my reference photos. I'll try to oblige you but I won't post photos of my models as I'm pretty sure they don't want those out on the internet. I am always a little reticent to reveal my models photos anyway. I will post photos of my maquettes etc. By the way. I went to your web sight and really like your work! Its really great and humorous as well.
