Here's a few rough idea sketches from my imagination which I created while I was trying to figure out this painting I'm working on now. There were many more of them, but I posted these few.
Here's some color sketches as well, done after I completed the charcoal "cartoon".

Very cool I love the color roughs. When you formulate an idea like this do you start with those loose sketches and see where the lead you or do you brainstorm ideas then do the sketches?
Well, in this case I just whipped up the loose ink drawings first. Then a friend was looking at them and suggested some other ideas, like maybe the snake could have eaten someone. I was going to have someone inside the snake, it just didn't look right in the sketches. The color sketches came after the charcoal comprehensive.
